John H. Spillane Jr., 45, died Tuesday 9 Sep 1986 in Madisonville.
A service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday from the Shrine of True Cross Catholic Church in Dickinson, with Monsignor Eugene Cargill officiating.
A rosary will be recited at 7:30 tonight at James Crowder Funeral Home of Dickinson. Burial will be 1 p.m. Friday at Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston.
Mr. Spillane was born November 8, 1940 in Glen Ridge, New Jersey. He was an operations manager for five years, was a resident of Dickinson for 13 years and a veteran of the U.S. Marines. He was also a member of the Dickinson band boosters and a past member of the Dickinson little league baseball, football and girls' softball associations. Survivors include his wife. Marilyn B. Spillane of Dickinson: his father, John H. Spillane Sr.; a grandmother, Josephine McMahon both of Houston, four daughters. Deborah Wilkinson of Houston, Patricia A. Spillane, Susan L. Spillane and Linda R. Spillane, all of Dickinson; a son, John Joseph Spillane of San Antonio; a sister, Joan Postma and two brothers, James C. Spillane and Jeffery A. Spillane, all of Houston. Pallbearers will be John Nowlin. Jack Wyatt. Charles Murrell. Don Owens. Gus de la Houssaye. Charley J. Kidder Jr.. John Gossett and Joe Dallas.
